Two rescued from flash floods in Kashmir

Srinagar: Two persons were rescued after a truck fell into a canal after a pillar of the Goshi Bridge was washed away due to heavy floods in the Baramulla district.

Several houses and bridges were damaged in the Bandipora and Baramulla districts of north Kashmir, the police said. Six houses, two saw mills and a shop were damaged in the Bandipora district due to the flood waters, he said.

Water supply and electricity have also been affected, the spokesman said. — PTI
